About Us:
Since 1936, the Humane Society of Oakville, Milton & Halton (HSOMH) has been a safe haven for animals in need and a trusted resource for the people who care about them. We’re more than a shelter. We’re a community hub where compassion, education, and action come together to strengthen the human–animal bond.
At HSOMH, we care for approximately 300 animals at any given time, whether they are lost, rescued, or surrendered and awaiting their new beginning. Every animal that comes through our doors receives shelter, medical care, and the compassion they deserve.
People often walk through our doors expecting to adopt a pet, drop off a donation, or volunteer for a few hours. What they leave with is so much more: new connections, unexpected joy, and a lasting place in a community that cares deeply for pets and people alike.

- Addresses public inquiries in a courteous and informative manner, whether in person, over the phone, or via email.
- Prepares reports and diligently maintains records as part of routine responsibilities.

- Participates in shelter events as needed and actively promotes responsible pet ownership through the implementation of animal service programs for the public.
- Performs any other duties as requested or assigned.
