Job Title:

Office Clerk-Sales, Marketing and Customer Service

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Non-commission sales - Responsible for assisting in identifying and developing new International Canadian and American clients via internet research.

2. Developing and implementing a customized North American client data base for specialized markets, within a Sales team environment.

3. Assist general manager with Internet research to develop sales and marketing strategies.

4. Responsible for providing diversified customer service support to clients through answering customer inquiries on the phone, email and in person.

5. Responsible for customs clearance duties for import/ export containers and brokerage. (Training provided – see below).

6. Liaison and solicit import and export Canada Customs container releases by contacting Federal, Provincial and Municipal stakeholders.

7. Liaison and facilitated import and export container releases by contacting International Steam Ship Lines and associated stakeholders.

8. Responsible for coordinating the logistical distribution and transportation of products across North American through our 8 warehouse locations in Vancouver BC. Toronto Ontario and Houston Texas, Los Angeles, San Francisco ,CA, Atlanta, Miami, New York, USA. As well as coordinating international shipments. Filing of documentation with customs and varies steamship lines.

9. Responsible for general office administration and administrative duties. These include but not limited to answering and operating Norstar ICS phone system, faxing, copying, mail outs, typing letters and note taking at meetings.

10. On occasion, provide administrative accounting functions to the company accountant and general manager. Responsible for administrative projects as assigned.

11. On occasion, Audit basic accounting reports and be responsible for administrative projects as assigned. Valid G license – own car an asset.

12. Travel to clients’ offices within the GTA to deal with customer related complaints. Travel compensation available.

Requirements:

1. Ability to speak English and Spanish Urdu fluently and effectively.

2. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

3. Preference given to fluency Bilingual Spanish speaking applicants

4. Excellent/ proficient computer skills to operate Microsoft Office, Excel, Internet, Quickbooks, Research, Web page development and maintenance.

5. Very Strong organizational skills and ability to multi task.

6. General Office administration experience is key.

7. Valid G class license required (car an asset).

8. Excellent knowledge of roads within the GTA

9. Knowledge and operational ability to function with QuickBooks.

10. Sales and marketing experience an asset. Attendance at International trade Shows an asset.

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
