POSITION SUMMARY

Manage day-to-day operation of Crown Credit (Canada). Coordinate and maintain Crown Credit’s commercial credit program, including new business, marketing, and customer service. Supervise collection of credit and financial information for good risk approval or rejection of leases. Coordinate the improvement and implementation of operational credit standards, systems, and procedures, consistent with the Company’s established policies.

Reporting to this position may be Leasing Services Representatives and Documentation Coordinators. This position reports to the CFO of Crown Lift Trucks ULC.


POSITION DESCRIPTION

Manage Daily Operations of Crown Credit Company

  • Manage the day-to-day quoting of leases and financing for lift trucks. Investigate and coordinate the approval of new accounts with the Credit adjudication team. Spearhead Master Lease negotiations between legal and the lessees. Occasionally assist sales associates in the field to negotiate and communicate leasing solutions with customers. Process paperwork and review contract information which includes document change requests such as name changes, assignment, and assumptions. Review requests for increases in credit levels. Prioritize and delegate daily workload and projects while providing guidance to assigned personnel. Develop, review, and maintain all reporting for Crown Credit (Canada). Develop and implement required new programs and policies.

Accounts Receivable

  • Collaborate, monitor, and confer with Crown Credit’s Accounts Receivable department regarding collection of past due amounts and assignment of delinquencies. Approve all adjustments and ensure past due accounts are properly handled. Report results and lead discussions with banking sources regarding the accounts receivable function. Interact with the Company’s Legal Department and outside legal counsel to resolve delinquent and bankrupt accounts. Collaborate with legal on bankruptcy cases. Manage the collection and distribution of legal filings from the bankruptcy courts. Perform other tasks as assigned.

Sales & Marketing Functions

  • Conduct successful marketing of all current financial products. Assist with major/national account negotiations and customer set-up. Keep abreast of changing market conditions and develop new leasing and financing products to facilitate the direction of the Company in the future.

Financial Management

  • Assist CFO of Crown Lift Trucks ULC and Finance Department with coordination of funding needs and maintaining banking relationships. Monitor the profitability of current leasing products. Assist in the development and implementation of the budget.

Employee Development

  • Perform duties such as creating/revising job descriptions, conducting Talent Development discussion sessions, rating performance, establishing/tracking goals and completing annual wage reviews. Responsible for coaching, motivating, and developing direct reports to successfully take on additional responsibilities.


KNOW HOW & EXPERIENCE

  • 5-7 years related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree (Business Administration, Finance).
  • Must have valid driving privileges.
  • Occasional travel (0-5%).
  • Occasional overnight stays (0-5%).
  • Job requires employees to drive a personal vehicle to conduct company business less than 20% per week (8 hours) and/or travel locally between company locations during scheduled workday.
  • A four-year college degree or equivalent, preferably in business administration or finance, and at least five to seven years of prior experience required.
  • High level of company product knowledge, accounting procedures, computer skills and strong demonstrated analytical skills.
  • Per 8-hour shift, sit 7 hours and stand 1 hour.
  • Both typical and non-typical office environment (low to moderate noise level, low exposure to hot/cold temperatures, dust, fumes, and vibrations).
  • Regular interaction with others and performs a degree of independent work. (Regular interaction with other staff and/or customers via written and oral communication methods.)
  • Physical and mental demands are akin to the majority of office positions with prolonged periods of sitting and prolonged use of a computer/keyboard.
  • Infrequent lifting, walking, and climbing stairs.
  • Occasional use of office equipment
