Full job description

Overview

  • We are seeking a friendly, attentive Restaurant Server to provide welcoming and efficient service in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • The ideal candidate brings strong customer service, guest services, and time management skills, along with an interest in creating a positive dining experience.
  • Previous restaurant experience, food service experience, or experience in the food industry is preferred. Kitchen experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Training will be provided on restaurant procedures, menu details, and applicable food safety and sanitation practices.

Duties

  • Welcome guests, explain menu items, answer questions, and take accurate food and beverage orders.
  • Enter orders and process transactions using a POS system; experience with Micros POS is an advantage.
  • Serve meals and beverages promptly, check in with guests, and respond professionally to requests or concerns.
  • Recommend menu items and use appropriate upselling techniques while prioritizing guest needs.
  • Handle payments and provide accurate change using sound cash handling, cashiering, and basic math skills.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to communicate orders, special requests, and timing.
  • Follow procedures for food handling, food preparation, and food safety.
  • Maintain clean, organized dining and service areas by following sanitation standards.
  • Support the team with side work and other service-related tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication, teamwork, and hospitality skills, with a genuine commitment to excellent guest service.
  • Ability to manage multiple tables and tasks while maintaining accuracy and composure.
  • Basic math skills and confidence handling orders, payments, and a POS system.
  • Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices, or willingness to learn and follow established procedures.
  • Serving, food service, or restaurant experience is preferred; food preparation or kitchen experience is a plus.
  • Dependable, professional, and able to work collaboratively in a busy restaurant setting.

Pay: $20.00-$28.89 per hour
