We represent individuals and families in serious injury, long-term disability, and class action matters across the Atlantic provinces.

Position Summary

The Content Coordinator is responsible for the planning, execution, and day-to-day management of the firm's marketing and communications program. The role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and works in close coordination with the firm's lawyers, intake team, and external vendors. This is an in-person position based at our New Glasgow office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, edit, and produce scripts for television, radio, and digital video advertising.
  • Motion Graphics and Graphic designing.
  • Write and maintain website copy, landing pages, practice area content, and blog articles in accordance with the firm's editorial standards and applicable Law Society marketing rules.
  • Plan, execute, and monitor media buys across broadcast, digital, print, and out-of-home channels, including negotiation with vendors and oversight of agency partners.
  • Manage the firm's social media presence across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube, including content calendar development, publishing, and performance reporting.
  • Coordinate marketing projects from brief to delivery, including video production, photography, event sponsorships, and campaign launches.
  • Track campaign performance against intake metrics and report results to the CEO on a regular cadence.
  • Ensure all marketing materials comply with Nova Scotia Barristers' Society and other applicable regulatory requirements for legal advertising.

Required Qualifications

  • A post-secondary degree in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of three to five years of professional experience in a marketing, communications, journalism, or agency role, with demonstrated writing credentials.
  • Motion Graphics and Graphic Design experience.
  • Proficiency with standard marketing tools, including content management systems, email marketing platforms, analytics tools, and basic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • A portfolio of published or produced work, including long-form writing and, ideally, scripted video or broadcast content.
  • Demonstrated experience managing social media accounts in a professional capacity, including paid and organic content.
  • Working knowledge of media planning and buying, including broadcast and digital channels, and the ability to read and evaluate a media plan.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a professional services environment, such as a law firm, accounting firm, medical practice, or financial services organization.
  • Familiarity with legal advertising rules and the regulatory obligations of Canadian law firms.
  • Experience coordinating video production, including working with directors, producers, and on-camera talent.
