Full job description

CocuSocial, one of the largest culinary experience providers in the U.S., is expanding into Canada and looking for talented, outgoing Chef Instructors to lead fun, social, hands-on cooking classes in Vancouver.

Our experiences are hosted at beautiful partner venues including hotels, cafés, breweries, restaurants, and event spaces. We’re looking for chefs who love connecting with people just as much as they love cooking.

This is a great opportunity for chefs, caterers, culinary instructors, private chefs, hospitality professionals, and food entrepreneurs looking for flexible, supplemental income while sharing their passion with others.

Why Teach With CocuSocial?

1. Flexible Schedule

Teach the cuisines and recipes you love on a schedule that works for you. Most classes take place during evenings and weekends.

2. Competitive Pay

Earn $200–$350+ per class, with opportunities to teach multiple classes per week.

3. Supportive Team

Our team handles marketing, customer bookings, and operational support so you can focus on creating an incredible guest experience.

4. Creative & Social Environment

CocuSocial classes are designed to be approachable, interactive, and memorable. We encourage instructors to bring their own personality, energy, and unique culinary style to every class.

What We’re Looking For

We’re especially excited to meet chefs who are outgoing, engaging, and naturally great with people. The best CocuSocial instructors create experiences that feel welcoming, energetic, and social - not just instructional.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • A professional culinary, hospitality, or food industry background
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence leading groups in a fun and engaging way
  • A passion for food, teaching, and hospitality
  • An organized and reliable approach to event execution
  • Evening and weekend availability preferred

Teaching, events, catering, or group facilitation experience is a strong plus.

We’re currently prioritizing instructors comfortable teaching high-demand experiences such as:

  • Handmade Pasta
  • Sushi Making - Urgently hiring for this topic*
  • Pizza Making
  • Dumplings
  • Tacos & Mexican Street Food
  • Paella
  • Pad Thai
  • Empanadas
  • French Pastry & Choux

Responsibilities

  • Lead engaging, hands-on cooking classes from start to finish
  • Purchase and organize ingredients
  • Teach cooking techniques in a clear, approachable, and entertaining way
  • Create a fun, energetic, and welcoming atmosphere where guests feel comfortable cooking, learning, and socializing
  • Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards throughout the experience
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs - carrying supplies, equipment, etc.

Nice to Have

  • Access to a potential venue space (commercial kitchen, café, restaurant, studio, etc.)
  • Existing teaching, catering, or events experience
  • A personal culinary brand or social media presence
