Overview

Gandy & Associates is a general practice law firm located in Saint John, New Brunswick, serving clients in real property, wills and estates, civil litigation, and related areas of law. We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our team on a full-time basis.

In this energetic role, you will streamline administrative operations, assist with legal documentation, and ensure smooth communication within the firm. Your organizational skills and attention to detail will help us maintain efficiency and uphold the highest standards of professionalism.

Duties

  • Manage and organize legal files, documents, and correspondence with precision and care
  • Draft, review, and format legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and memos with clarity and accuracy
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and court dates while coordinating calendars for attorneys and clients
  • Answer phone calls promptly, directing inquiries appropriately while maintaining a professional demeanor
  • Assist with filing both electronically and physically to ensure all records are accessible and compliant with firm policies
  • Support attorneys in preparing case materials, conducting research, and compiling analysis reports as needed
  • Reviewing and verifying the lawyers’ timekeeping entries to ensure that time is recorded accurately, consistently, and on schedule;

Pay: $18.00-$26.00 per hour
