Full job description

BG Excavating Limited is hiring a A Restricted - Delivery Driver/Yardhand for our construction sites located throughout the City of Ottawa. The Delivery Driver/Yardhand will be required to operated company vehicles in compliance with BG's Health and Safety Policy.

Task and Responsibility

  • Thorough knowledge of the City of Ottawa roads and Highway Traffic Act.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspection in compliance with Ministry of Transportation guidelines.
  • Pick Up and Deliver supplies and equipment to and from construction sites.
  • Organize company tools and supplies at the yard.

Employment Requirement

  • Must occupy a Valid A Restricted Class License with Clean Drivers Abstract.
  • Experience in the construction industry and/or operating road vehicles with a trailer.
  • CSA-approved Work Boots.
  • Access to a vehicle to commute to and from work.
  • Knowledge of Heavy Civil Construction is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of Operating a Hook Lift truck is preferred but not required.
