Position Summary:

National Mattress Canada—the GTA's premier mattress outlet—is seeking a dependable, dedicated G Class Delivery Driver to join our North York team. If you are a reliable professional who takes pride in exceptional customer service, route efficiency, and safe vehicle operation, we want to hear from you.

Mandatory Requirements (Non-Negotiable):

  • Valid Full G Class Driver’s License held continuously for at least 2 full years.
  • Clean Driving Record: A clean driver’s abstract (3-year record required at interview stage).
  • Truck Experience: 1–2 years of experience safely driving 26-foot box trucks or similar commercial delivery vehicles.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Probationary Rate: $24.00 / hour
  • Post-Probation Rate: $24.00 – $26.40 / hour
  • Additional Incentives: Monthly performance-based raises and overtime pay opportunities.

Schedule:

  • Full-Time, Permanent Position
  • 5 days per week (must be available to work weekends as scheduled)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely load, unload, prepare, and inspect delivery vehicles daily.
  • Complete residential delivery and collection of mattresses and accessories across the GTA, primarily via contactless delivery.
  • Maintain strict adherence to delivery schedules, routes, and traffic/safety laws.
  • Provide professional customer service and handle customer inquiries or complaint redirections calmly and politely.
  • Perform regular vehicle maintenance checks, keeping the truck clean and in optimal condition.
  • Assist with warehouse duties and material handling as needed.
  • Follow all company health, safety, and operational protocols.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to regularly lift, carry, and maneuver heavy items weighing 10–75 lbs, and occasionally up to 100+ lbs with proper lifting techniques/equipment.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and climbing; occasional sitting.
  • Good visual acuity (depth perception, peripheral vision, and spatial awareness for navigating large vehicles).

Additional Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time-management abilities.
  • Punctual, self-motivated team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
