Yard location: Ottawa, ON
Workdays: Monday to Friday
No Weekends
No Statutory Holidays
Shift Start time: To be determined between 5:00AM to 7:30AM and work 8 to 10 hour shift

What you will do:

• Drive a 5 or 3 ton vehicle to deliver freights to assigned stops within Ottawa and surrounding areas
• Deliver freights in good condition and within scheduled time (40+ deliveries daily)
• Use a handheld device to scan documents and freights
• Load and Unload freight in proper sequence with the use of a dolley and or pallet truck (lift up to 70lbs)
• Complete any necessary paperwork accurately
• Perform all safety checks, including pre-trip and post-trip inspection
• Report on all safety hazards and accidents
• Use a cellular phone to communicate with dispatch ie. Truck breakdowns, delivery concerns, answer calls, texts etc….
• Provide excellent customer service
• Build strong client relationships
• Adhere to safety and compliance regulations
• Additional duties as required

What we require of you:

• High School Diploma
• Valid G Driver’s License
• Clean CVOR and Personal Driver’s Abstract
• Courier or LTL experience is an asset
• Must have 1 year COMMERCIAL TRUCK DRIVING experience
• This shift will be Monday to Friday. 10 hour workdays with start times from 5AM to 7:30AM. Overtime will be paid.
• Capable of doing physical labour with a great degree of strength and stamina – lift up to 70lbs
