About the Role:
We have a rare opening to join 102.1 The Edge “Iconic Alternative” as a Full-Time Swing Announcer, supporting one of the most creative and distinct brands in the country.
This role is based in Toronto and will see you step in across multiple dayparts, bringing authenticity, energy, and a strong understanding of the Edge brand.
You will be a multi-platform personality, creating engaging content across on-air, social, and digital platforms.

We’re looking for a curious, versatile, positive talent who can adapt quickly, think creatively, and complement a collaborative team that values originality and strong execution.

You will contribute by:

  • Creating fun, interesting, and topical content.
  • Strong understanding of Edge’s sound and brand.
  • Prepping shows with efficient attention to music and topical relevance.
  • Working well as an individual and team member to create memorable radio and social.
  • Innovate social media to drive ratings and social engagement.
  • Promotional appearances, interviews, and other fun opportunities.
  • Sales and revenue friendly, you have ideas you aren’t afraid to monetize.
  • Vacation and short-notice fill-in across multiple dayparts as needed.
  • Voice tracking other markets.

Skills and experience you will bring:

  • Post-secondary education in radio broadcasting or equivalent experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of radio broadcasting experience ideal.
  • Previous major market on-air announcer experience.
  • Strong engagement skills, on-air, text and social platforms.
  • You use all the tools and technology to run a tight, well-produced show.
  • An ability to deliver compelling, bold content and not afraid to give your opinion.
  • A proven track record of outstanding social media presence and creativity.
  • Ability to record and edit videos on a phone and create content.
  • A passion for Alternative music format.
