PRACTICE OPTIMIZATION LEAD

Role Description

MAP is seeking an experienced and adaptable Practice Optimization Lead to provide interim operational leadership and multi-site support across our network of medical and dental clinics. This role is ideal for a highly organized healthcare operations professional who thrives in dynamic clinical environments and can quickly integrate into different teams while supporting operational consistency, process improvement, and clinic performance.

Working closely with clinic teams, the COO, Regional Managers, and corporate support departments, the Practice Optimization Lead will provide hands-on clinic leadership coverage, assist with operational initiatives, and support the development and implementation of standardized processes across the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day clinical operations, including scheduling, staffing support, workflow coordination and patient experience initiatives.
  • Support and mentor clinic staff through coaching, training, performance management, and ongoing development.
  • Analyze clinic workflows and operational processes to identify opportunities for improvement, standardization, and increased efficiency.
  • Support corporate leadership with data collection, reporting, KPI tracking, and operational analytics to help drive strategic decision making.
  • Monitor clinic performance metrics and support action plans focused on operational excellence, patient satisfaction, and financial performance.
  • Review and verify employee timecards, ensuring accuracy, and complete payroll duties in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on regulatory requirements relevant to medical and dental clinic operations.
  • Provide operational and managerial support to other clinic managers and departments as needed.
  • Support cross coverage initiatives and assist with operational continuity across multiple clinic locations.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare clinic operations and workflow management.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and work effectively across different clinic environments and teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a process improvement mindset.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and reporting tools.
  • Experience working with electronic medical or dental software systems such as PS Suite, Accuro, ClearDent, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with data analytics, KPI reporting, and operational dashboards is considered an asset.
  • Comfortable supporting technology adoption, workflow optimization, and operational change management initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in management or operations leadership role.
  • Previous experience in a medical, dental, or healthcare environment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience overseeing multi-site operations or supporting multiple teams is considered an asset.
  • Post secondary education in business administration, healthcare management, operations, or a related field is considered an asset.
  • Combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
