About the opportunity:
General Accountability:
The Digital & Corporate Communications Senior Specialist at Lactalis Canada plays a key role in advancing Lactalis Canada’s corporate communications strategy, with a focus on external communications, digital channels and social media. This individual thrives in a fast-paced environment, stays ahead of AI and digital trends, and brings a strong passion for content production.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Multimedia Content: Develops, curates and manages compelling English and French multimedia content, including for Viva Engage, LinkedIn and the corporate website, to inform and engage internal and external stakeholders. As the digital and social communications expert, collaborates with cross-functional teams, sites and external vendors to provide communications counsel and support projects, campaigns and content development.
- Events: Drives and/or supports the development and execution of key internal events as aligned with key business priorities, including monthly Leadership Team Meetings, semi-annual all-hands meetings, annual Leadership Exchange Conference, and annual Lactalis Canada Connect all-employee event. Leads and/or supports other cross-functional and/or communications-related projects, special community and employee events and administrative tasks as required.
- Digital Asset/Community Management: Oversees the development and maintenance of corporate brand assets, including Employee Hub materials, to ensure accuracy, consistency and brand integrity across the organization. Acts as Community Manager for the company’s LinkedIn channel and maintains the corporate website with accurate, up-to-date content. Owns and maintains the communications digital asset management system to ensure photography, videography and other digital assets are properly catalogued and archived.
- Corporate Communications/Media Relations: Supports corporate communications initiatives involving media and key external stakeholders, including writing, presentations and event management.
- Analytics: Monitors, analyzes and reports on performance metrics to inform positioning and optimize media relations, digital channels and social engagement.
- Other Duties: As required.
The attributes we are looking for:
· University degree (or equivalent level of work experience)
· Minimum-5-7 years’ experience in a communication/public relations role, preferably in the food, agriculture or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry
· Highly creative and innovative with a strong understanding of digital and social media platforms.
· Solid written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
· Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to collaborate, influence and bring a corporate view to all cross-functional projects and initiatives.
· Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
· High proficiency with AI and productivity tools (Copilot, Canva, Survey Monkey, Meltwater) and content management systems (e.g. WordPress, Bynder) with ability to adopt new technologies quickly. Ability to gather and report data and inform decisions.
· Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to pivot and meet tight deadlines.
· Knowledge of the food and/or dairy industry is an asset
· Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset

Compensation:
As part of our commitment to fairness, trust, and transparency and our ambition to be an Employer of Choice, the base salary range for this position is $*_78,600_ – $_*98,300_+.
Please note: Along with a comprehensive Total Rewards package, your actual base salary will be fair, competitive, and be based on your skills, experience, and qualifications.
