What you'll do
ensuring Environment’s business processes, planning, regulatory support, and reporting functions are efficient, compliant,
integrated, and well supported.
Reporting to the Director of Environment, the Manager, Business Planning & Regulatory Support provides leadership and
overall direction for policy and strategy development, business planning, program implementation support, regulatory
compliance, and related performance reporting. This role manages the Project Management Office, Asset Management,
Regulatory Permitting, and Strategy & Framework functions within Environment.
- Lead the Business Planning & Regulatory Support team, providing strategic direction, people leadership, and
implementation.
- Oversee the Project Management Office (PMO), Asset Management, Regulatory Permitting, and Strategy & Framework
- Develop and implement business cases, change plans, governance processes, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, and delivery partners to resolve
- Establish integrated performance monitoring, compliance tracking, and reporting processes that support transparency,
- Prepare strategic reports, recommendations, briefing materials, and presentations to support executive and senior
- Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to multidisciplinary teams, particularly during periods of organizational change,
- Align environmental strategies, business plans, and governance initiatives with broader corporate objectives and priorities.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with regulators, government agencies, and key stakeholders to advance
- Provide strategic oversight of environmental permitting, regulatory approvals, compliance obligations, and related risks for
- Lead environmental asset management and PMO functions, including long-term planning, capital and operational
- Ensure programs, projects, and physical works are effectively planned, contracted, and delivered through the Environment
- Act as a trusted advisor on environmental, regulatory, and enterprise initiatives, providing strategic analysis, risk insights,
What you bring
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as engineering, business, environmental sciences, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including 8 years managing progressively complex projects, programs, or
- Experience with project, physical and operational asset, and contract management would be an asset.
- Exceptional leadership skills, including experience leading larger teams and demonstrated ability to mentor, coach and
- Proven ability to lead strategy development and implementation plans that meet business needs through integrated
complex issues.
- Demonstrated success managing stakeholder relationships across a cross-section of the business, including executive
- Proven experience in negotiation and conflict resolution, including issues involving multiple stakeholders with diverse
- Proven experience organizing, modelling, and translating data into actionable insights and reporting capabilities that
- Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt communications for audiences
- Experience working in a relevant industry and in a complex, team-based environment requiring strategic consideration of
- Extensive understanding of regulated environments, including environmental permitting, compliance obligations, reporting
- Knowledge and experience with environmental compliance programs, including incident identification, classification,

- Please note this is a full-time permanent (FTR) M2 opportunity located at our Edmonds location in Burnaby, BC.
- The preferred headquarter location for this opportunity is Burnaby, however we may be willing to consider other British
process. Please note this flexibility would also be subject to workspace availability.

- A condition of employment in this role will be to maintain your Class 5 Drivers License in good standing.
