Company Overview:

Liquor Plus is a locally owned and operated group of full-service liquor stores dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and an extensive selection of wines, spirits, beer, and ciders. Our team members are the cornerstone of our success, bringing a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and team-first mindset to every shift.

What the role looks like:

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll help oversee the day-to-day operations of the store while supporting both customers and team members throughout the shift. The Supervisor acts as the lead when management is not present and helps ensure the store runs smoothly, stays organized, and delivers a positive customer experience.

We’re looking for someone who is confident working independently, comfortable leading a team, and able to balance customer service with daily operational responsibilities. This role requires flexibility and availability to work a solid 3 shifts closing Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday 1:10pm – 9:10pm with possible extra shifts to cover team time off.

Why you'll love us:

  • Generous benefits, including a $350.00 annual health and wellness budget, extended health Employee Assistance Program, curated holiday gifts, discounts, birthday bonouses and more.
  • We're a local business that is expanding into the cannabit industry, where you will recieve a 20% discount at both Liquor Plus and Cannaplus.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Greeting customers and providing knowledgeable, friendly service
  • Supporting team members throughout the shift and assisting with customer concerns
  • Opening and closing the store, including cash handling and alarm procedures
  • Assisting with shift planning and assigning daily tasks
  • Overseeing cash procedures and end-of-day reconciliations
  • Receiving deliveries, stocking shelves, and maintaining store presentation
  • Monitoring signage, pricing, inventory, and overall store organization
  • Following liquor regulations, company policies, and WorkSafeBC standards
  • Supporting loss prevention through awareness and customer engagement

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience in retail, hospitality, customer service, or a leadership role would be considered an asset
  • Comfortable handling cash, supporting a team, and working independently
  • Someone who is reliable, organized, approachable, and leads by example
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Flexible availability for mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, openings, and closings
  • Must be 19+ and hold a valid Serving It Right certificate

Working conditions:

On your feet for most of the shift, with regular lifting (up to 25 lbs). This is a physically active role that requires multitasking and staying organized in a fast-paced retail environment.

Before you apply:

As part of our application process, there are a few short screening questions. Please take a moment to complete them — we use your answers to help us get a better sense of your experience and how you would fit into the LP family.

Pay: $21.50-$22.20 per hour

Benefits:

  • Casual dress
