We are looking for a Part Time Maintenance Technician to assist with our multi-family residential buildings in Nanaimo, BC. with a need for occasional travel to other buildings in Duncan, BC and Victoria, BC. What you will be doing:

  • Painting, drywall patching, mudding, and taping;
  • Detecting faulty operations, defective materials, and reporting deficiencies;
  • Maintain building exterior including basic ground maintenance;
  • Perform repairs to windows, blinds, doors, switches, plugs, appliances, fixtures, and carpet tile replacement;
  • Diagnosis and repair plumbing, heating, and electrical problems.

What you need to bring:

  • Two years of experience in the property management and/or construction industry would be an asset;
  • Ability to use physical exertion that includes lifting, carrying, climbing ladders and moving materials;
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a results-oriented approach;
  • Ability to think creatively when problem solving, proactively adapting to challenges;
  • Ability to work well independently;
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build positive relationships and to work well in a team environment.
