Full job description

Clovermead is looking for a mature, responsible and professional adult to join our team as Food Services Team Lead.

This leadership role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working alongside their team and takes pride in delivering great food and exceptional guest experiences. You’ll help lead our hardworking “worker bees” while supporting smooth operations of the food truck.

The Food Services Team Lead supports the Food Services Manager in overseeing a food truck location (1 out of 3 food trucks, with more food trucks coming soon!). This is a hands-on leadership role that combines team supervision, food preparation, customer service, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Operations

  • Support the Food Services Manager in daily operations of one food truck
  • Help supervise, coach, and motivate food services staff
  • Lead by example to achieve service time targets and quality standards
  • Ensure team members provide friendly, professional customer service
  • Spend the majority of each shift actively working on the floor
  • Ensure all food safety and health regulations are consistently followed
  • Assist with inventory tracking, ordering, and supply management
  • Step in confidently to problem-solve during busy periods
  • Ensure daily side duties and opening/closing checklists are completed by the team

Technical & Operational Support

  • Troubleshoot point-of-sale systems including Square and Fresh KDS while working
  • Assist with troubleshooting food service equipment such as slushie machines, soft serve machines, TVs, fryers, grills, and griddles

Food Preparation & Guest Service

  • Prepare and serve food and beverages
  • Cook and assemble menu items including smash burgers, wraps, fries, poutine, pizza, gyros, donuts, and kettle corn
  • Serve beverages and treats such as slushies, soft serve ice cream, lemonade, coffee, tea, and pop
  • Take guest orders and process debit/credit transactions
  • Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation
  • Follow all food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene standards
  • Work efficiently during peak rushes while remaining calm and professional

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Multiple years of fast-food service or restaurant kitchen experience
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Valid Food Handler Certificate
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Friendly, confident, and professional customer service approach
  • Comfortable working around hot equipment and in warm environments
  • Ability to stay organized and perform well during high-volume periods
  • Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
  • Must be available Saturdays and holidays during peak season

Physical & Schedule Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, carry items, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Availability to start shifts as early as 6:00 AM or finish as late as 6:00 PM during the season

Expected Hours:

  • Season: June – October 31, 2026
  • Part-time
  • Shifts may be scheduled on any day from Monday through Saturday
  • No Sunday work required, as we are closed on Sundays.

Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Work Location: In person
