Job description

We are seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to join our multi-surgeon clinic as a Receptionist. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and positive experience from the moment they walk through our doors. You will be responsible for providing a high level of customer service while acting as a liaison between patients, surgeons, and other members of our team. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, contribute to our team, and grow with us.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and provide a warm, professional front-desk experience
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out
  • Assist with appointment scheduling and general patient inquiries
  • Answer and triage incoming phone calls and emails, directing inquiries to the appropriate member of the team
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, physicians, nurses, administrators, and other members of the clinic team
  • Maintain accurate patient information and assist with administrative setup
  • Collect payments and perform basic administrative tasks
  • Receive and distribute incoming mail, packages, and deliveries to the appropriate areas
  • Prepare outgoing mail and packages, including correspondence and coordinating pickups as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area and assist with keeping clinic areas tidy
  • Assist with daily clinic opening and closing procedures
  • Support general administrative and office operations as needed
  • Assist with additional clinic needs, including occasional errands or purchasing on behalf of the clinic
  • Work collaboratively with surgeons and other members of the clinic team
  • Uphold a high standard of professionalism, confidentiality, and customer service

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Professional, friendly demeanor with a positive and approachable attitude
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, physicians, and team members
  • Proficient in English, both verbal and written, including electronic communication
  • Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to creating a positive patient experience
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail with effective problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative
  • Proactive, team-focused approach with a willingness to collaborate and support clinic operations
  • Professional appearance and conduct at all times
  • Comfortable using technology and learning new software systems; experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), point-of-sale systems (Vagaro), and EMR systems (Accuro) is an asset
  • Results-oriented with the ability to take ownership and accountability for achieving goals and objectives
  • Approaches challenges with enthusiasm, adaptability, and positive energy

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
