Overview

We are currently searching for Line Cooks to join our team. If you are interested in Japanese food or willing to learn, this will be a great opportunity for you!

Yokai is a contemporary Japanese izakaya restaurant with a modern twist on the traditional style of informal dining. Using the best ingredients combined with the knowledge and respect for authentic Japanese cuisine, Yokai is the first of its kind in the Vaughan area.

Our line cooks will:

  • Adhere to the standards and policies set by management to the highest level.
  • Accurately execute menu items according to the standards and procedures set by the executive chef to the highest level.
  • Maintain and enforce a clean and professional workspace and personal conduct.
  • Follow and comply with all health and safety regulations as per legislative guidelines.
  • Maintain a calm, yet urgent demeanour in all situations.
  • Possess excellent team work, organizational skills, and good communication skills. All the while being flexible.
  • Food Handlers Certification an asset
