Full job description

Job Duties:

  • Prepare a variety of authentic South Indian dishes, including dosas, idlis, vadas, sambar, rasam, and various chutneys, following traditional recipes and presentation standards.
  • Ensure the quality, taste, and consistency of all dishes, maintaining high standards of food preparation.
  • Manage and oversee kitchen operations to ensure cleanliness, food safety, and proper hygiene practices.
  • Monitor stock levels of ingredients and spices specific to South Indian cuisine and place orders for replenishment as necessary.
  • Customize recipes to meet customer preferences, dietary restrictions, or special requests while maintaining authenticity.
  • Maintain and clean cooking utensils, equipment, and the kitchen area according to food safety standards.
  • Prepare, marinate, and cook various meats, vegetables, and rice-based dishes, using specialized cooking techniques common in South Indian cuisine.
  • Assist in menu planning, suggesting new dishes, and improving existing offerings based on customer feedback and trends.
  • Work with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient preparation and delivery of meals.
  • Ensure proper storage and rotation of food products to minimize waste and maintain freshness.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations in all food preparation and storage practices.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the head chef or kitchen manager.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$35.00 per hour
