Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled South Indian Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing authentic South Indian dishes with precision and flair, ensuring each meal meets high standards of taste, presentation, and food safety. Your expertise will help create a memorable dining experience for our guests, showcasing the rich flavors and traditional techniques of South Indian cuisine. This position offers an exciting opportunity to bring cultural culinary traditions to life while working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of traditional South Indian dishes, including dosas, idlis, vadas, sambar, rasam, and other regional specialties.
  • Ensure all food preparation adheres to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Handle food with care to prevent cross-contamination and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
  • Serve dishes promptly and accurately to meet customer expectations.
  • Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of supplies needed.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food handling, preparation, and kitchen operations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience(prefer 10 years) as a South Indian cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or food service setting.
  • Strong knowledge of South Indian cuisine, ingredients, and traditional cooking techniques.
  • Experience in food preparation, meal assembly, and serving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality food presentation.
  • Prior experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is highly desirable.
