Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Indian Tandoor and Curry Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared according to our standards of excellence while adhering to food safety regulations.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality meal presentation.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management.
  • Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety procedures.

Experience

  • Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred, particularly in an Indian restaurant or similar setting. Must have a legal status in Canada.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential for maintaining a safe kitchen environment.
  • Experience with meal preparation and food handling techniques is highly valued.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately are necessary for success in this role.

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
