Full job description

Job Summary

  • Perform in-shop and in-field (customer site) belting services.
  • Work includes; rigging, hot splicing, cold splicing, mechanical clips, scraper maintenance, belt and roll installation
  • While working onsite and dealing with customers you must behave in a professional manner up to Dunrite standards.
  • Communicate customer issues with lead hand or responsible personnel.
  • Be available for emergency breakdowns on-call service 24/7 when required.
  • Complete conveyor repairs, and maintenance
  • Fill out all required daily paperwork accurately and in a timely manner

Required Education and Qualifications

  • Must be a Canadian resident, legally able to work in Canada
  • Must be willing to relocate to Sudbury Ontario, if not already a resident of Sudbury currently
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Valid Driver’s License and submit drivers abstract
  • Eager to learn, willing to work long hours and emergency hours.
  • Hard-working, strong work ethic, detail-oriented, self-motivated
  • Strong problem-solving skills, organization and planning skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, long hours in different environmental and work conditions
  • Must be physically fit (heavy lifting)

Required Skills and Experience

We are looking for both Experienced and inexperienced Conveyor Belt Technicians. We are will to train those eager to learn and who are mechanically inclined. Wage offering would reflect experience.

An Experience Conveyor Belt Technician must have the required Skills and Experience:

  • Conveyor Belt Installation
  • Rigging
  • Hot and Cold Vulcanizing
  • Pulley Lagging (cold)
  • Mechanical Clips
  • Roll installation
  • Scraper Maintenance
