Full job description

We are looking for a qualified, experienced and fun Full-Time Medical Office Assistant/Receptionist who is committed at joining our growing team long term.

Are you dependable? Are you reliable? Do you have a strong commitment to attendance and punctuality?

FRMC is an extremely fast-paced Family Practice and Walk-in! You'll be working alongside with a great team of Medical Office Assistants, Receptionists and Physicians and management!

You must have experience being a Medical Office Assistant in Canada and Accuro EMR.

Hours of work will mainly consist of:

Full Time: Monday - Friday anytime between 830am - 7pm with a rotational Saturday every couple months (you get a day off in lieu of the Saturday!

  • Greeting patients
  • Arriving and booking patients
  • Filling Faxes & Scans
  • Completing All Tasks
  • Answering Phone Calls
  • Following your doctors’ orders
  • Managing your doctors' schedule
  • Booking follow-up appointments for the doctors
  • Taking Vision Acuity, Height and Weight
  • Making sure the clinic is Clean and Tidy
  • Organizing and replenishing the supply cabinet of your doctors
  • Booking All referrals
  • Home Clinic Enrollment/Management
  • Prepping Procedure Trays and Instruments needed for procedure (including autoclaving - will be taught)
  • Participate in other miscellaneous administrative duties as assigned

Position Requirements

  • Medical Office Assistant certificate;
  • PHIA (Personal Health Information Act) certification;
  • CPR Certification is an asset;
  • Knowledge of a Accuro EMR system is a must;
  • 1 year minimum experience in the medical field (clinic) is a must;
  • High attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written);
  • Fluency in English;
  • Proficiency with medical terminology;
  • Proficiency in computer applications including Windows OS, Microsoft Office, Outlook E-mail and Internet;
  • Fast and accurate typing skills.
