We are excited to bring our growing operation to Ontario and are looking for experienced Owner Operators to grow with us.

⭐ The Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Owner Operators to join our growing Ontario operation running primarily Intermodal Container freight on Ontario → U.S. Northeast lanes, including Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New York.

This is an excellent opportunity for Owner Operators looking for consistent work, competitive compensation, strong operational support, and long-term growth with a company that is actively expanding its fleet.

Compensation

$1.25 per mile

Lane & Work Overview

  • Ontario-based operation
  • Cross-border Ontario → U.S. Northeast
  • Regular lanes covering Pennsylvania, Ohio & New York
  • Primarily Intermodal Container freight
  • Loads coordinated through major Ontario intermodal facilities

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a tractor-trailer on assigned cross-border routes
  • Transport intermodal containers efficiently and securely
  • Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Maintain accurate trip and regulatory documentation
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations
  • Ensure on-time pickups and deliveries
  • Follow all applicable U.S. and Canadian transportation regulations
  • Maintain a high standard of safety and professionalism
  • Report mechanical or equipment concerns promptly
  • Represent HAP Transportation Group professionally at all times

Requirements

  • Valid Class 1 / CDL with the appropriate qualifications
  • Proven tractor-trailer driving experience
  • Previous cross-border U.S. experience preferred
  • Intermodal/container experience is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of transportation safety and compliance requirements
  • Clean and safe driving record
  • Reliable, professional, and safety-focused
  • Strong communication and time-management skills
  • Ability to operate efficiently on long-haul cross-border routes
