Capilano Volkswagen is a family-owned car dealership located in North Vancouver that has passionately served our North Shore community since 1969. We are looking for an ambitious, motivated and enthusiastic Sales Consultant to join our award-winning team.

This is a fully-commissioned sales role with a minimum guarantee and a car allowance payable to the hired candidate. The advertised pay range reflects the realistic earning potential of someone starting within their first two years in automotive sales at our dealership.

We have a high preference for someone who presently lives in North or West Vancouver, is university or college educated, and can speak a second language in order to communicate effectively with our customer base.

We offer an extremely generous pay plan for the ambitious candidate looking for career growth within a company that believes in investing in its employees for long-term development. Capilano Volkswagen offers training from one of the most recognized brands in the world, along with eventual opportunities for advancement to Assistant Sales Manager, Sales Manager, or higher for the successful candidate.

This role requires a strong work ethic, a curiosity to learn, and the ability to work weekends and evenings as required. You will receive two days off per week accordingly with rotating days off for statutory holidays and scheduled vacations.

As a Sales Consultant at Capilano Volkswagen, you will be responsible for:

  • Converting and prospecting for "in-market" customers into purchasers of New and Pre-Owned Vehicles in accordance to established dealership policies, while achieving stated performance targets for gross profit, sales volume, and customer satisfaction
  • Abiding by established dealership and Sales Department policies, procedures, and processes at all times during scheduled shift hours and when attending to company business
  • Be proficiently knowledgeable about Volkswagen’s product portfolio, sales programs, and current offers, paying particular attention to our electric vehicles (EV) through regular training and by completing the required annual Certification requirements found in the Volkswagen Training Resource Centre (TRC)
  • Responding to all customer touchpoints (walk-in, appointments, phone calls, emails, text messages, company-related social media) in a professional and timely manner
  • Utilizing social media channels and technological tools to help promote Capilano Volkswagen’s products, services, and community contributions
  • Meeting established performance targets as it relates to sales volume and gross profit
  • Be a team player by communicating effectively and consistently with colleagues and management in order to exceed customer expectations

Previous sales experience (a minimum of 2-3 years) is required for this role. You will also be required to apply for and maintain a valid VSA license (at your own expense) for the duration of your employment.
