You will also have opportunities to support and lead business development initiatives and help strengthen client relationships within the water resources sector.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and contribute to engineering assessments and designs for water distribution, sanitary collection, stormwater conveyance systems, river engineering, flood modeling, mapping and risk analysis, environmental hydraulics, aquatic habitat enhancement, and related water resources projects.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, hydraulic analyses, calculations, design reports, specifications, and other project deliverables.
- Coordinate project delivery activities, including scope development, scheduling, budgeting, resource planning, client communications, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in field investigations, site inspections, construction services, and regulatory approval processes to support successful project delivery.
- Support and progressively lead project management responsibilities, including project administration, stakeholder engagement, and client coordination.
- Contribute to business development activities through proposal preparation, client meetings, relationship building, and identifying opportunities for new work.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and technical staff.
What You’ll Bring
- Degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering, with a focus on water-related disciplines.
- 6+ years of relevant experience, preferably within a consulting engineering environment.
- Registered, or eligible for immediate registration, as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in British Columbia.
- Experience in storm, sanitary or water network modelling and civil infrastructure design.
- Project management or coordination experience, including exposure to project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and client engagement.
- Experience or interest in business development, including proposal writing and client relationship management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the preparation of technical reports, proposals, and presentations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
