Carpenter – Job Opportunity

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our team in Saint John. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in various aspects of carpentry and construction, with a strong focus on quality craftsmanship, precision, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
  • Perform a variety of carpentry and general construction tasks, including, but not limited to:
  • Caulking and sealing
  • Restoration and repair work
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
  • Repair or replace damaged structural components, framing, or finish work
  • Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety standards, and project specifications
  • Work collaboratively with other trades and team members to complete projects on time and to high standards

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar construction role
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as construction equipment
  • Strong understanding of carpentry techniques, materials, and industry best practices
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
  • High attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in various conditions
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship or relevant certification is preferred
  • Valid driver's License
  • Must have several years of experience with framing, siding, window & door installation.
  • Must have own vehicle
  • Must be willing to work Monday to Friday 8am-430pm
  • Must be willing to work exterior in the winter
