We currently have an opening in the Greater Toronto Area, ON and Simcoe County, ON for a:

Construction Millwright

The Millwright is responsible for the receiving, lay out and installation of equipment and/or machinery as well as performing alignment and vibration checks.

How will you contribute to the team?

To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Interprets drawings and performs mathematical calculations to perform job
  • Uses hand and power tools
  • Ability to read and measure in imperial and metric
  • Operates forklifts, booms, hoisting and rigging for cranes, and other equipment
  • Selects and uses materials and fasteners
  • Installs material handling systems
  • Installs, and commissions machinery and equipment
  • Installs bearings, seals and packing, pipe systems and valves, fans and blowers, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Works safely, efficiently and in full compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Work with and communicate effectively with the Millwright team to complete the tasks on time
  • Ensure a clean and productive job site
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to the job through leading by example, putting in the extra effort to ensure jobs proceed as planned

Successful applicants must have the following qualification/skills:

  • Red Seal Millwright Trade Certification preferred or equivalent
  • Ability to pass CWB 47.1 all position welder qualifications (SMAW)
  • Ability to pass TSSA all position welder qualification (TIG/MIG/SMAW)
  • A minimum of 6 years (including apprenticeship) working on ICI Projects
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written
  • Problem solving skills
  • Comfortable in a dynamic, fast paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $48.65 per hour
