Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both industrial and commercial electrical work, with a strong understanding of electrical systems, safety protocols, and building codes. This position requires proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics, as well as hands-on experience with various electrical tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and power tools.
  • Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards during installations and repairs.
  • Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to complete renovation projects efficiently.
  • Perform high voltage installations and maintenance as required.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in various work environments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety regulations.

Skills

  • Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician.
  • Strong knowledge of low voltage and high voltage systems.
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding of electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with frame carpentry and maintenance person tasks is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team on construction sites.
