Full job description

CanWest is looking to hire multiple skilled Concrete Saw Operators at our Calgary Location. We are willing to train the right candidates that have experience using similar power tools in a construction position.

Responsibilities & Job Duties

  • Assits an expereience saw operator while training
  • Measure and mark cut lines prior to cutting
  • Complete general labour and vacuum slurry
  • Once trained, operate and maintain your assigned concrete saw or core drill
  • Work with dispatch and project managers to get work done in a timely manner
  • Keep your assigned unit clean
  • Drive safely to work site locations
  • Have an understanding and follow safe operating procedures at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • REQUIRED - Class 5 license and own means of transportation
  • Experience driving a trailer would be an asset
  • Be self-motivated, dependable, and be able to take accurate messurements
  • Experienced with saws, measurements, blueprints, and materials on site is preferred
  • Must be okay with general labour and be able to lift 50 lbs safely
  • MUST speak English to be able to do this job safely

Starting wage will be based on previous experience with Concrete Cutting
