Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Scaffold Builder to join our construction team. This role involves the assembly, disassembly, and maintenance of scaffolding structures on various construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction practices, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively at heights. Experience with blueprint reading, hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation is highly desirable. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects while ensuring safety and structural integrity.

Daily TRAVEL ALLOWANCE Provided $37.50

Duties

  • Interpret and follow blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to assemble scaffolding structures accurately.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment to construct, modify, and dismantle scaffolding systems.
  • Ensure all scaffolding is built in compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
  • Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry, masonry, electrical, and plumbing teams to facilitate smooth workflow.
  • Perform routine inspections of scaffolding for stability and safety hazards; make necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Assist with concrete forming, restoration work, cabinet installation, flooring installation, tile laying, or other related tasks as needed.
  • Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to all safety protocols during operations at heights or around heavy machinery.
  • Contribute to project estimating by providing accurate assessments of materials and labor requirements when applicable.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction or scaffold building preferred.
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating is advantageous.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and relevant construction techniques.
  • Skills in carpentry, concrete forming, masonry, welding, electrical work, plumbing, restoration, or related trades are a plus.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings such as schematics for various systems including electrical or plumbing layouts.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols related to working at heights and around heavy machinery.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy loads and work at elevated heights safely.
  • Certification or training in scaffold safety standards is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
