Full job description

Nahanni Construction Ltd. is accepting resumes for Concrete Pump Truck Operators to work at our various project sites located across Northern Canada. The successful candidates will work on a rotational schedule based in a remote work camp environment.

SCOPE

  • Operate a 40M concrete boom pump truck
  • Communicate with mechanics to ensure equipment and truck are maintained in top condition
  • Comply with all safety regulations and site requirements
  • Participate in daily tool-box talks
  • Review and prepare daily Field Level Hazard Assessments
  • Participate in weekly safety meetings
  • Read, interpret and act on instructions from supervision
  • Ensure tools and equipment are returned to job boxes and tool cribs
  • Report all incidents/accidents including near misses

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to complete pre access medical fit assessment and drug and alcohol testing
  • Class 3 driver’s licence with air brake endorsement
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Previous experience with Putzmeister concrete pump is an asset
  • Ability to learn quickly and keep up with tight schedule
  • Flexible and adaptable to change
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions in English

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Nahanni provides competitive pay and benefits. Compensation is dependent on experience.
  • Nahanni pays for, and books travel to and from the project site. In addition, employees are entitled to a rotational travel allowance.
