Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lead Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing various building components, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This role offers opportunities to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial construction, utilizing a broad range of skills including blueprint reading, carpentry, and the operation of heavy equipment. The Installer will collaborate with project managers and other trades to deliver high-quality results efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

  • Site Preparation: Measuring and marking guidelines, determining layout, and repairing/servicing existing structures.
  • Material Handling: Loading/unloading trucks, transporting tools and heavy materials to, from, and around job sites.
  • Tool Usage: Operating hand and power tools safely under the guidance of a journeyman or lead installer.
  • Site Maintenance: Cleaning up work areas, removing debris, and maintaining tools and equipment.
  • Customer Service: Maintaining a professional, respectful attitude with customers.
  • Lead Installation: Leading with the installation of interior and exterior railings (aluminum, glass, steel).
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute installation tasks.
  • Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to all safety protocols during installation activities.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and ensure project milestones are met efficiently.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction-related roles with knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and specialized installation techniques such as tile laying or concrete finishing.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed instructions accurately.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and quality standards.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy materials and perform demanding physical tasks regularly.
  • Valid BC driver's license.
  • First aid certificate
  • Fall protection and Aerial platform certificate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
