IT Administrator - Law Firm - $51299

Downtown Vancouver | Full-Time | In-Office

Our client, a well-established and growing downtown Vancouver law firm, is currently seeking an experienced IT Administrator to join their team. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering a professional and collaborative work environment, competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and a strong commitment to work-life balance.

Working closely with the IT team and external technology vendors, the IT Administrator will play a key role in supporting and maintaining the firm’s infrastructure, cloud environments, business applications, and end-user systems. This position is ideal for a technically strong and service-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced Tier 2 technical support across desktop, server, cloud, networking, and business application environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues while ensuring timely and effective user support.
  • Escalate issues to external vendors and Tier 3 support providers when required and coordinate resolutions.
  • Administer and support Microsoft Azure environments, including Azure Virtual Desktop and Microsoft 365 platforms.
  • Maintain and support Windows Server infrastructure, Group Policies, permissions, server configurations, and network resources.
  • Assist with the implementation and execution of small to mid-sized IT initiatives and infrastructure projects.
  • Support and maintain legal and business applications including document management, accounting, and cloud-based systems.
  • Ensure system reliability, performance, security, and data integrity across all supported platforms.
  • Maintain accurate IT documentation, procedures, and system configurations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to continuously improve IT operations and user experience.

Technical Environment

Experience in the following areas is highly desirable:

  • Microsoft Azure (Entra, Intune, Exchange Online, Azure Portal)
  • Azure Virtual Desktop administration and support
  • Windows Server administration and troubleshooting
  • Networking, permissions management, WAN/LAN support, and performance management
  • Microsoft 365 Office Suite
  • Legal accounting software such as Elite, Aderant, Acumin, or similar
  • Document management platforms including iManage, NetDocuments, or similar
  • Cloud-based legal and productivity applications including DocuSign and Clio
  • VoIP systems administration and support
  • Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms support
  • Enterprise printers, scanners, switches, firewalls, and server room equipment

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of progressive IT experience, including experience in a Tier 2 support environment.
  • Previous experience working within a law firm or professional services environment is strongly preferred.
  • Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL, CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or similar technical certifications are considered an asset.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
