Summary:

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for ensuring efficient operations within the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and distributing raw materials and finished products. This role involves maintaining inventory accuracy, adhering to safety protocols, and supporting production demands to ensure timely delivery of products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring all products are received, stored and shipped at acceptable temperatures as per SQF standards.
  • Ensure all inventory activities are done in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures and quality and safety standards within the Warehouse Department.
  • Ensures that Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are in line with company objectives.
  • Coordinates and communicates with the Purchasing and Logistics Departments to manage inbound and outbound shipments; works with other departments as required.
  • Responsible for ensuring all customer orders are shipped efficiently and completely on the scheduled ship dates.
  • Ensures that all ingredients, packaging materials and finished goods are stored in a safe and tidy manner in-house and offsite.
  • Identify and address safety hazards; maintain strict adherence with Health & Safety Program.
  • Ensure that all Food safety standards are adhered to as per the GMP and Food safety Program.
  • Perform other duties as require and/or assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in the food or baking industry.
  • Ability to read, write, follow instruction, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to follow written instructions
  • Ability to work well with people in a team environment
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management and communication.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in warehouse management.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work other shifts, overtime, weekend when/if required.
