Annual salary: $ 109,700.00 - 138,700.00

Position Highlights
The Resource Strategy & Analytics (RMA) team is part of Portfolio Management within Capital Infrastructure Project
Delivery. We help BC Hydro plan and allocate the people needed to deliver one of the largest capital investment programs
in British Columbia — spanning over 400 active and planned projects across generation, transmission, and distribution
infrastructure.

The RMA team provides resource demand-capacity forecasting, analytics, and workforce planning services across Project
Delivery and Engineering. We build multi-year resource forecasts that feed directly into capital planning and headcount
decisions, develop analytic dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI and Tableau, and facilitate resource
discussions with functional managers and senior leaders — translating complex data into clear, actionable insights.

This Advisor-level position combines hands-on data analytics with stakeholder engagement across a diverse range of
disciplines and project types. You'll work independently to help managers make informed resourcing decisions for their
portfolios — today and years ahead. If you enjoy turning messy, real-world data into clear stories that drive decisions on
critical public infrastructure, this role is for you

What you'll do

  • Work independently to facilitate, coordinate and present in resource discussions with functional managers in Project
Delivery and Engineering

  • Prepare clear visual summaries, briefing materials, and plain-language insights that explain resource trends, constraints,
risks, and forecast changes.

  • Support recurring and ad hoc resource demand-capacity analysis using inputs from active projects, planned projects,
capital plans, schedules, and functional resource assumptions.

  • Identify data quality issues, investigate root causes, and work with project teams, functional managers, and data owners to
improve source data and reporting accuracy.

  • Develop, maintain, and improve resource management Analytic dashboards and reports that support portfolio-level
resource demand, capacity, and workforce planning.

  • Apply AI-enabled tools responsibly to improve analysis, reporting, documentation, meeting summaries, workflow
efficiency, and quality checks.

  • Run portfolio-level resource reports to review whether resource-specific work centres are being used appropriately, and
support follow-up with functional managers as needed.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of resource management models, reporting standards, assumptions, and business
processes.

What you bring

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field such as business, engineering, economics, mathematics, data
analytics, computer science, human resources, project management, or a related discipline.

  • Relevant experience in resource planning, workforce planning, project controls, portfolio reporting, business analytics,
data analysis, or a related field.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to translate complex data into plain-
language insights, risks, trends, and recommended actions for business users.

  • Strong hands-on popular data analytics /visualization tools (e.g., Power BI and/or Tableau) experience, including
dashboard development, data modelling, Power Query, report maintenance, and turning business questions into clear
visual insights.

  • Advanced Excel skills, including data cleaning, formulas, pivot tables, structured tables, and analysis of large datasets.

  • Experience using AI-enabled tools in a professional setting to improve productivity, analysis, documentation, reporting,
workflow efficiency, or quality review, with sound judgment around privacy, accuracy, and confidentiality.

  • Strong analytical and data quality skills, including the ability to identify inconsistencies, validate assumptions, investigate
issues, and explain limitations clearly.

What we offer

  • A comprehensive benefits package
  • A minimum of 15 paid vacation days
