Position Overview

The AI Solutions Developer is a hands-on technical role responsible for designing, building, testing, and deploying AI-powered applications, AI agents, connected data pipelines, and automation solutions across the Fortifi organization.

This role is focused on execution and delivery. The successful candidate will translate business ideas and operational needs into practical, working solutions quickly, moving from proof of concept to usable tools with a strong builder mindset.

The ideal candidate combines strong application development skills, practical experience with LLMs and AI agents, and the ability to connect data, systems, and workflows into functional solutions. This is not primarily a strategy or people-management role; it is a doer role, centered on building, iterating, and delivering effective AI-enabled tools.

Key Responsibilities

AI Solution Design & Development

· Design, build, and deploy AI-powered applications and internal tools that solve practical business problems.

· Develop end-to-end solutions using modern AI technologies, APIs, cloud services, and software development practices.

· Build rapid proof-of-concept solutions and evolve successful prototypes into stable, reusable tools.

· Continuously improve existing AI applications based on user feedback, performance, and business value.

AI Agents, LLM Workflows & Automation

· Design and implement AI agents and LLM-enabled workflows capable of supporting multi-step business processes.

· Develop solutions using LLM platforms and tools such as Claude, Microsoft/OpenAI, Gemini, and other emerging AI technologies.

· Build automation workflows that reduce manual effort, improve speed, and support better decision-making.

· Create reusable components, prompts, orchestration patterns, and frameworks to accelerate future AI initiatives.

Connected Data & Pipeline Development

· Design and maintain data connections and pipelines that support AI applications and automation workflows.

· Integrate AI tools with internal systems, databases, APIs, documents, and other structured or unstructured data sources.

· Support knowledge retrieval, RAG-style solutions, and data enablement approaches where appropriate.

· Ensure data used by AI solutions is accessible, reliable, and fit for practical business use.

Prototyping, Testing & Deployment

· Rapidly prototype ideas to validate feasibility, user experience, and business value.

· Test and refine solutions in collaboration with end users and business stakeholders.

· Deploy solutions into live workflows and support adoption through practical documentation and user guidance.

· Iterate quickly based on feedback, adoption levels, and measurable outcomes.

AI Governance, Cost Control & Best Practices

· Apply responsible AI, security, privacy, and governance principles when developing and deploying solutions.

· Monitor model usage, tool performance, and AI-related costs to ensure solutions remain efficient and sustainable.

· Optimize prompts, models, workflows, and infrastructure to balance quality, speed, and cost.

· Contribute to practical standards and best practices for the use of AI tools across Fortifi.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

· Stay current with emerging AI technologies, models, automation frameworks, and application development practices.

· Evaluate new tools and identify where they can create practical value for the business.

· Support experimentation while maintaining a strong focus on usable, scalable, and measurable outcomes.

Required Qualifications

Experience

· 3 to 7+ years of experience in application development, software engineering, automation, AI development, digital solutions, or a related field.

· Proven experience building and deploying tools, applications, automation workflows, or AI-enabled solutions in a business environment.

· Experience delivering solutions from concept through prototyping, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement.

· Experience working directly with business stakeholders to understand problems and turn requirements into functional tools.

Technical Capabilities

· Hands-on development experience with Python or similar programming / scripting languages.

· Experience with APIs, integrations, databases, and data pipelines.

· Practical experience with LLM tools, prompt engineering, AI agents, and workflow orchestration.

· Ability to build complete solutions from idea to deployment, including backend logic, integrations, testing, and user-facing functionality where required.

· Familiarity with cloud platforms, version control, deployment practices, and modern software development methods.

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
