Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated .NET Developer to join our dynamic software development team. Results-driven .NET Developer with strong expertise in C# and .NET Core (ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core), building scalable web applications and RESTful APIs. Experienced in SQL, Microsoft Azure, and front-end development using JavaScript/TypeScript. Skilled in customizing and integrating solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 and leveraging Microsoft Power Platform tools including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.

Possesses a solid understanding of application architecture, cloud-based solutions, and system integrations. Recognized for strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into efficient technical solutions.

Duties

  • Consult with the National Headquarters Digital Media team and Software Development Manager regarding migration of the current CMS website to a cloud-based solution.

Database & Application Support

  • Assist in migrating the donor database from IBM iSeries to Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Help develop and maintain SQL Server interfaces with Microsoft Dynamics virtual tables.
  • Support legacy applications using VB6, .NET WebForms, VB, and C#.
  • Utilize .NET Visual Studio Development Environment and related technologies.

Networking & Hardware Support

  • Assist networking staff with PC and network issues, including software/hardware troubleshooting, system upgrades, and security patching.
  • Install peripheral equipment, configure servers, and resolve networking infrastructure issues.
  • Support Cisco and CheckPoint firewalls, HP switches, Lenovo servers, and virtual environments using VMware and Hyper-V.

Software & Web Technologies

  • Support development and maintenance of web and software technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL.
  • Administer Windows Active Directory, DNS, digital certificates, and Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS).

End-User & Application Support

  • Provide support for IBM Client Access for iSeries connectivity.
  • Support Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Exchange, Microsoft Defender, Azure, and SharePoint.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and supporting hardware/software applications from both network and local workstation perspectives

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in .NET Core application development using C#, VB, and JavaScript.
  • Strong experience with data access technologies and integration with databases.
  • University or college diploma in a computer-related field.
  • Knowledge of networking technologies is an asset.
