Job Summary for Electronics Repair Technician & Warehouse Associate

HBC-radiomatic is recognized as a leading global manufacturer of industrial radio remote control solutions for the materials handling and specialized machinery industries. As part of the next evolution of growth for HBC-radiomatic we are launching a new company in Canada to focus on this strategic and growing market. As a result, we are seeking a talented Service Technician to join our dedicated team in the Greater Toronto Area.

Responsibilities and Duties

The successful Repair Technician will need to diagnose, troubleshoot, service, repair, modify and configure HBC-radiomatic industrial radio remote control systems in a dedicated repair facility. You will be responsible for working with customers directly to diagnose any necessary repairs or modifications and for completing those repairs to HBC-radiomatic’s stringent quality standards.

There will a requirement to manage all aspects of the after-sales repair process including any associated administrative and support activities, inventory control, customer communication and documentation.

The successful candidate will have meticulous attention to detail and work with the Logistics Specialist to support an array of duties such as sorting, receiving and processing incoming material, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, stocking inventory, and supporting colleagues as needed.

Additional responsibilities will include:

· Work in an efficient manner and plan the effective completion of repair or modification orders in accordance with targeted schedules and customer requirements.

· Provide remote troubleshooting support and technical guidance to customers and operators.

· Test and evaluate radio systems for proper operation and to quality standards using tools such as frequency counters, spectrum analyzers and multi-meters.

· Ensure the accurate and timely update to documentation of HBC-radiomatic systems.

· Maintain adequate inventory levels at associated service cells/islands.

· Participate in continual quality improvement and contribute improvement ideas and suggestions.

· Be able to meet training requirements and maintain current knowledge of relevant procedures and organizational policies.

· Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance.

· Consistently demonstrate a positive approach, team-player mindset, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

· Process incoming stock deliveries and radio repairs (RMA’s)

· Prepare orders by processing requests, picking materials, packing boxes and organizing for shipment

· Ensure all incoming and outgoing orders are filled accurately

· Enter data in inventory and logistics software programs

· Provide quality service by following organization standards

· Stock inventory and assist with management of inventory levels

· Preserve safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, shipping area, and workstations neat

· Promote clean shipping supply area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

· Exceptional organizational and time-management skills

· Consistently demonstrate a positive approach, team-player mindset, and an entrepreneurial spirit

· Support with Startup tasks as required

Qualifications and Skills: Must be authorized to work in the Canada

· 2-year degree in electrical or electronics principles from an accredited college, university or technical school (preferred).

· 1-2 years’ experience building and/or repairing electronic or mechanical devices in an industrial manufacturing environment.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Proven organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.

· Excellent attendance and punctuality.

· Computer skills and familiarity with ERP and quality management systems.

· Able to use schematics, mechanical drawings and work instructions (after training).

· High attention to detail and able to work to strict quality standards.

· Experience with Radio Frequency communications (preferred).

· Previous experience in industrial warehouse environment (preferred)

· Previous experience with inventory management systems is a benefit

· Equipment maintenance experience a benefit

· Highly dependable
