Job Overview

Golf Zones specializes in the design and installation of custom residential and commercial golf simulator spaces.

We are looking for a reliable and experienced installer to assist with upcoming projects throughout the Greater Toronto Area.(Or be willing to educate themself on process with basic

Golf Zones will provide the simulator equipment, materials, project plans and installation requirements. The installer will be responsible for completing the installation professionally, safely and according to the provided specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble golf simulator enclosures and framing systems
  • Install and properly tension impact screens
  • Install screen padding, wall protection and edge protection
  • Install artificial turf and replaceable hitting strips
  • Mount projectors, launch monitors, displays and related equipment
  • Set up computers, simulator hardware and basic audio/video equipment
  • Complete clean and organized cable management
  • Follow measurements, layouts and manufacturer installation requirements
  • Test installed equipment and assist with final system setup
  • Maintain a clean and professional work area
  • Provide installation photos and notify Golf Zones of any issues
  • Communicate professionally while working inside customers’ homes and businesses

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Golf simulator installation
  • Home-theatre or audio/video installation
  • Projector and display mounting
  • Finish carpentry
  • Artificial-turf or commercial-flooring installation
  • Sports-netting or impact-screen installation
  • Computer and equipment setup

Direct golf simulator installation experience is preferred but not required. Training and project-specific instructions can be provided to a skilled installer with relevant experience.

Requirements

  • Must have reliable transportation throughout the GTA
  • Must provide their own standard installation tools
  • Strong measuring, mounting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift and handle large screens, turf rolls and equipment
  • Attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Professional appearance and customer-service skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow project plans
  • Availability for project-based weekday and occasional weekend work
  • Commercial liability insurance is preferred
  • WSIB registration or clearance may be required depending on the project
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Compensation

Compensation will be agreed upon before each project and may be based on:

  • Fixed project pricing
  • Daily installation rates
  • Project complexity
  • Travel requirements
  • Number of simulator bays

Potential for ongoing project work is available for the right installer or installation crew.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
