Salary: Up to $70,000 per year, based on experience
About the Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Transportation Safety & Compliance Coordinator to join our team. This is a hands-on role supporting drivers, maintaining regulatory compliance, and helping ensure safe and efficient fleet operations.
The successful candidate will already have experience in the transportation industry and be confident managing Canadian and U.S. compliance requirements. This position works closely with drivers, dispatch, and management to support day-to-day safety and compliance activities.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain compliance with Canadian and U.S. Hours of Service regulations.
- Coach drivers on Hours of Service compliance and assist with correcting violations.
- Manage IRP registrations, renewals, supplements, and related documentation.
- Maintain the company's CTPAT program and ensure ongoing compliance.
- Administer toll transponder programs, including installations, replacements, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain permits, licensing, and regulatory records.
- Assist with driver onboarding and compliance-related orientation.
- Investigate compliance concerns and recommend corrective actions.
- Work closely with drivers, dispatch, and management to maintain a strong safety culture.
- Support ongoing safety initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
Qualifications
Required
- Previous transportation safety and compliance experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Canadian and U.S. Hours of Service regulations.
- Experience managing IRP registrations and renewals.
- Experience maintaining CTPAT compliance.
- Experience with toll transponder administration.
- Knowledge of commercial vehicle regulations and transportation documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
