Occupational Health Registered Nurse (RN) – Contract Opportunity

Location: Brantford, ON
Schedule: Monday to Friday | Day Shift | 40 Hours per Week
Compensation: $39.00- $45.00 per hour
Position Type: Independent Contractor

Make an Impact in Workplace Health

Workplace Medical Corp. is seeking an experienced and motivated Occupational Health Registered Nurse (RN) to provide onsite occupational health services at a large, modern workplace in Brantford, Ontario.

This opportunity is ideal for a nurse who enjoys working independently and is passionate about injury prevention, employee wellness, disability management, and health promotion. As the onsite Occupational Health Nurse, you will play a key role in supporting employee health, safety, and wellbeing while helping foster a proactive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first aid and nursing care for workplace injuries and illnesses
  • Conduct health assessments and support early intervention strategies
  • Coordinate return-to-work and modified duty programs
  • Manage occupational and non-occupational injury and illness cases
  • Maintain accurate and confidential health records
  • Conduct basic musculoskeletal assessments and provide injury prevention education
  • Participate in ergonomic and wellness initiatives
  • Support medical surveillance activities, health screenings, and wellness campaigns
  • Collaborate with employees, healthcare providers, leadership, and Workplace Medical Corp.

Qualifications

Required

  • Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Current professional liability insurance
  • Strong clinical assessment, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

Preferred

  • Occupational Health Nursing experience
  • Experience with WSIB, disability management, and return-to-work programs
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation
  • COHN(C) certification is an asset
