About Aurelius
Who we are
Aurelius Aviation Management manages the appearance of private, corporate and business aircraft. Owners and flight departments hand us aircraft worth millions of dollars and expect them returned in a condition that reflects that value — every time, without supervision and without excuses.
What this role is not
This is not a wash bay. It is not a cleaning job. It is not an apprenticeship, a trainee position, or a place to learn the trade on someone else's aircraft. If you want to be told your work is fine when it isn't, apply somewhere else.
What this role is
Skilled surface-care work performed to a documented standard on aircraft where mistakes are expensive, visible and permanent. If you're the kind of person who reworks a panel because you caught a swirl mark nobody else would have seen, keep reading.
Experience and TrainingWhat you must already have
Proven, hands-on aircraft appearance experience. You must arrive fully trained and able to work on a live aircraft without instruction on day one. We expect you to already know:
- Approved and prohibited products and processes on aircraft surfaces
- Correct technique around control surfaces, static ports, pitot tubes, antennas, probes, seals and composite panels
- Machine polishing, paint correction and coating application on aircraft paint
- Brightwork and metal polishing to a mirror standard
- Aircraft interior materials, including certified leathers, cabinetry finishes and cabin flooring
- Safe conduct in a hangar and on an active ramp
What we do not provide
Trade training. We will orient you to Aurelius procedures, checklists, documentation and inspection standards — that is not the same as teaching you the work. You must be able to perform every service below at full standard from your first shift.
Site-required safety and security training
You are responsible for holding, obtaining and maintaining any airport identification, security clearance and site-mandated safety certification required at your assigned locations.
Scope of Work
You are expected to perform every service we sell, to standard, on your own. Not a portion of it. Not the parts you enjoy. There is no "I only do interiors" here.
Appearance Management — recurring client contracts
Inspection and monitoring
- Scheduled aircraft inspections on a set cycle
- Ongoing exterior and interior condition monitoring
- Deficiency identification and immediate reporting
Recurring service execution
- Scheduled cleaning and detailing on contracted aircraft
- Presentation prep and owner-arrival prep
- Cabin resets between flights
- Consumable restocking and inventory accountability
- Emergency appearance support on short notice
Documentation and reporting
- Before-and-after photo documentation on every visit
- Deficiency reports with supporting images
- Input into monthly client condition reports
Appearance Restoration — project work
Exterior restoration
- Full exterior deep cleaning and decontamination
- Brightwork polishing to a mirror standard
- Paint enhancement and correction
- Ceramic and protective coating application
Interior restoration
- Leather cleaning and conditioning
- Carpet extraction and flooring restoration
- Full cabin restoration
- Galley and lavatory detailing
Specialty and recovery work
- Odour treatment and elimination
- Hangar dust and long-term storage recovery
- Pre-sale preparation
- Post-maintenance presentation recovery
Presentation Services — time-critical, zero margin for error
Departure and owner prep
- Owner and charter departure preparation
- Overnight cabin resets
Sale, delivery and marketing prep
- Aircraft delivery preparation
- Photography and marketing preparation
- Broker showing preparation
- Event and static-display preparation
Emergency response
- Short-notice emergency detailing calls
Much of this work happens the night before a client boards. There is no second attempt and no one coming behind you to fix it. When you sign off on an aircraft, that is your name on it.
The Aurelius Standard
Quality control
Every aircraft is inspected before release. Nothing goes out unchecked. Deficiencies found at inspection are corrected before the aircraft is released.
Checklists
You work from Aurelius checklists on every job, every time. Checklists are not suggestions, and they are not filled in afterwards from memory.
Documentation
Pre-service and post-service documentation is mandatory. Missing documentation is treated as work not performed.
Damage reporting
Pre-existing damage is reported before you touch the aircraft. Damage or contact you cause is reported immediately. Concealing it ends your employment.
Product and equipment accountability
Chemicals, pads, machines and consumables are tracked and are your responsibility.
Aircraft-specific restrictions
Restrictions are absolute. There is no improvising with products, pads or procedures on a certified aircraft.
Performance and Accountability
First 90 days
Formal review against documented quality-control results — not effort, not attitude, not hours logged.
Ongoing
Continuous review against the same measures. Rate movement and advancement follow inspection results.
This job is not for you if
- You are still learning the trade
- You need someone standing over you to work at full standard
- You take quality-control feedback personally
- You cut corners when you're tired, behind schedule, or think no one will check
- You'd rather be fast than correct
- You're unreliable with start times or availability
- You'd repeat what you saw in a client's cabin
Who We're Looking ForTechnical ability
- Demonstrated proficiency in machine polishing, paint correction and coating application on aircraft
- Obsessive attention to finishes, edges and transitions
- Consistent results across large surfaces
Work character
- Reliability that doesn't fluctuate with the schedule
- The ability to work unsupervised and hold your own standard
- Composure under time pressure on departure-critical work
Conduct and discretion
- Complete professionalism around owners, clients, flight crews and airport personnel
- Absolute confidentiality. You will see aircraft, clients and personal effects that are never discussed outside the company.
Requirements
Mandatory
- Documented professional aircraft detailing or aircraft appearance experience
- Ability to perform all listed services unsupervised, to standard, from day one
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Able to meet and maintain applicable airport and facility security requirements
Physical demands
- Sustained hands-on detailing work, including extended standing, bending, kneeling and reaching overhead
- Lifting up to 70 lb
- Work in hangars, on ramps, indoors and outdoors, in varying conditions
Preferred
- Experience across multiple aircraft types, including business jets
- Brightwork and unpainted-metal polishing experience
- Ceramic coating certification
- Prior airside or aviation ground operations experience
- Supervisory or quality-control experience
What to Include With Your Application
- Aircraft types you have personally worked on
- The correction, polishing and coating work you have performed and the products you have used
- Photos of your work, if you have them
- A reference who can confirm your aircraft experience
Applications without demonstrable aircraft experience will not be considered.
Schedule
Private aviation does not run 9-to-5. Assignments may fall during daytime, evening, early-morning or weekend hours depending on aircraft availability. We schedule as far ahead as operations allow, and short-notice work is part of the role.
How your rate is set
By demonstrated ability, not years served. Advanced paint correction, brightwork polishing, coating application and supervisory experience place you toward the top of the range from day one.
Career Progression
We are building an aircraft appearance management company for the long term, which means the people who hold the standard move up:
- Senior Aircraft Appearance Specialist
- Aircraft Appearance Team Lead
- Quality Control Specialist
- Mobile Operations Lead
- Aircraft Appearance Supervisor
These positions will be filled from inside.
Apply
Every aircraft leaves our care looking deliberately prepared — not simply cleaned. If that standard sounds like pressure, this isn't your job. If it sounds like the reason to come to work, apply.
Pay: $2,000.00-$5,000.00 per week
Benefits:
- Company car
Work Location: In person
