What You'll Do

As a Health Care Aide, you'll play an important role in supporting residents with their daily care while helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting residents with personal care and activities of daily living
  • Supporting meal service, light housekeeping, laundry, and hospitality services
  • Assisting with recreational and leisure activities
  • Supporting medication assistance programs as outlined in care plans
  • Monitoring and reporting changes in resident condition
  • Contributing to individualized care plans
  • Maintaining accurate documentation
  • Participating in ongoing education and professional development

What You'll Bring

  • Registration with the CLHA as a Health Care Aide
  • Current immunizations, including a TB test within the past year
  • Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the past 12 months
  • Compassionate, respectful, and professional approach to resident care
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role
