About The Company

ECG Brands is a fast-growing leader in the construction franchise industry with 30+ franchises across Canada. Through our flagship brands, Rydel Roofing & Siding and Deckify, we specialize in building and scaling high-performing businesses—taking new markets from startup to over $1M in revenue within their first year.

We're building a marketing team capable of supporting our 2027 growth and expansion targets, and the Content & Community Lead is a key creative hire.

About The Role

The Content & Community Lead is a highly autonomous role with real creative ownership. You will have variety in the work you do, the freedom to test new ideas, and the opportunity to work with a team of smart, hard working people who are deeply invested in creating successful franchises by challenging the status quo in the construction services industry.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating the visual assets that represent ECG and our franchises — on-site, in the field, and at company events — and for managing the platforms and messaging that keep those brands connected to their local communities. You will work with our video editor to produce what you script and direct and our social media coordinator who handles the day-to-day execution of our social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation

  • Plan and produce visual assets for use across multiple media including email, web, print, and social
  • Support franchisees in their own content creation efforts by educating on best practices and providing strategic direction
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice across all marketing channels
  • Maintain an asset library for ECG, Rydel, and Deckify
  • Attend and lead content capture for the annual ECG Summit training event (held every January; location is currently Mexico for the foreseeable future)

Community Management

  • Own our social media presence in collaboration with our Social Media Coordinator
  • Oversee comment moderation and DMs in both English and French, escalating as needed to franchisees or the head office team
  • Monitor social performance metrics and work closely with the VP Marketing on growth strategies
  • Stay current on platform changes and content trends
  • Manage a content calendar that highlights each brand’s services, products, and franchises and supports each stage of our customer journey
  • Review, iterate, and improve existing email automations and nurture sequences

Team Leadership

  • Directly manage the Social Media Coordinator (Lebanon-based) who handles the day-to-day operations of the social accounts
  • Collaborate with the Video Editor on content production workflows, deliverables, and timelines

What We’re Looking For (Requirements):

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role. A combination of relevant experience from internships, co-op experiences, or freelance work as well as strong examples of past work will also be considered.
  • Bilingual: English with conversational French (spoken and written)

  • Videography: comfortable operating a camera independently; shooting in real-world environments
  • Photography & Image Editing: experience with smartphone or DSLR photography and editing tools like Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop
  • Drone Operation: minimum 1-year experience operating a mini drone (e.g., DJI Mini 5) for aerial photography and videography
