Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.
Join Scotiabank at a pivotal time of transformation, where Procurement is driving strategic value and innovation. As the Bank accelerates its adoption of AI and digital capabilities, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of sourcing within a global organization.
The Role
This is an opportunity for an experienced procurement leader to shape high-impact sourcing strategies across complex, enterprise-wide categories. As Senior Manager, Corporate Services Sourcing, you will bring market insight, commercial discipline, supplier expertise, and strong stakeholder influence to help the Bank unlock value, manage risk, and strengthen supplier performance.
- Marketing and Communication
- Operation Banking
- Professional Services
- Real Estate & Facilities
- Corporate Services
- Financial Services / BPO
You will partner with senior business leaders, category owners, risk partners, legal, finance, and supplier stakeholders to lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives—from opportunity assessment and market intelligence to negotiation, contracting support, implementation, and benefits tracking. The role is ideal for a procurement professional who enjoys solving complex business problems, influencing spend decisions, and creating measurable enterprise value beyond cost savings.
You will help advance a more strategic, data-driven, and consistent sourcing model across the Bank—strengthening category strategy, supplier partnerships, risk management, and procurement’s role as a trusted advisor to the business.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Lead complex, enterprise-wide sourcing initiatives across assigned categories, translating business priorities into clear category and sourcing strategies
- Use spend analysis, market intelligence, supplier capability assessments, and demand insights to identify opportunities for savings, value creation, innovation, and risk reduction
- Design and execute competitive sourcing events, including RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, evaluations, supplier shortlisting, negotiation strategies, and award recommendations
- Negotiate commercially sound supplier agreements that balance total cost of ownership, service quality, risk, flexibility, and long-term business needs
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and influence sourcing decisions through clear business cases, financial analysis, and procurement expertise
- Partner with risk, legal, compliance, finance, and business teams to ensure sourcing activities align with internal policies, regulatory expectations, third-party risk standards, and the Bank’s risk appetite
- Manage supplier relationships during strategic initiatives, including performance expectations, issue resolution, executive engagement, and continuous improvement opportunities
- Identify consolidation, renewal, contract optimization, and supplier rationalization opportunities that improve commercial outcomes and operational efficiency
- Track sourcing pipeline activity, benefits, risks, milestones, and stakeholder commitments to ensure disciplined execution and transparent reporting
- Champion procurement best practices, including category planning, supplier relationship management, demand management, negotiation preparation, and benefits realization
- Act as a strategic advisor and escalation point for supplier, commercial, and sourcing matters with potential enterprise impact
- Support continuous improvement across procurement processes, tools, governance, and stakeholder engagement practices
- Contribute to a client-focused, inclusive, and high-performance procurement culture that values collaboration, accountability, and measurable results
What you bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Management, or a related field; Master’s degree is an asset
- 5–10+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, category management, supplier management, or supply chain
- Professional procurement designation such as CPM, CPSM, CSCMP, CIPS, or equivalent is preferred
- Experience leading sourcing strategies in a large, complex, matrixed, or global organization
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation capability, and ability to build compelling sourcing recommendations supported by data and business insight
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and lead cross-functional teams through ambiguity and change
- Hands-on experience with spend analysis, supplier segmentation, market assessments, cost modelling, total cost of ownership, and benefits tracking
- Understanding of third-party risk, regulatory expectations, and procurement governance within financial services or another highly regulated environment is an asset
- Ability to interpret complex technical, operational, contractual, and financial information and translate it into practical supplier strategies
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present clear recommendations, negotiate effectively, and build trust with business partners and suppliers
- Familiarity with procurement technologies, e-sourcing tools, contract lifecycle management, supplier management platforms, analytics tools, or ERP systems
- A continuous improvement mindset and commitment to delivering value, managing risk, and elevating procurement’s impact across the organization
Why this opportunity stands out:
- The opportunity to influence enterprise-wide spend decisions and shape sourcing strategies across high-value categories
- A role with visible impact, senior stakeholder exposure, and the ability to strengthen supplier partnerships, risk management, and business outcomes
- A rewarding career path with diverse opportunities for professional development, mobility, and continued growth in procurement and enterprise leadership
- A competitive rewards program including bonus, flexible vacation, personal and sick days, and comprehensive benefits that start on your first day
- Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Allyship - We strive to create an inclusive culture where every employee is empowered to reach their fullest potential, respected for who they are, and are embraced through bias-free practices and inclusive values across Scotiabank. We embrace diversity and provide opportunities for all employees to learn, grow & participate through our various Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) that span across diverse gender identities, ethnicity, race, age, ability & veterans.
