Join Our Team as an Interim Active Living Manager!

Location:

Regency Retirement Resorts have 9 locations in the Okanagan, including Vernon, Penticton, West Kelowna, and Kelowna.  This position is on site at within Kelowna.

Job Description:

Under the direction of the General Manager, the Active Living Manager will be involved in creating and overseeing diverse activities and social programs to enrich residents' lives while fostering a positive, inclusive atmosphere.

Key responsibilities include developing engaging events, collaborating with community partners, and motivating resident participation.

The position entails coordinating with other departments and community partners, managing budgets, and ensuring quality standards.

Additional duties include producing communication materials, organizing transportation, hosting tours, and maintaining confidentiality and respect for residents' dignity.

The role also supports employee orientation, contributes to special events, and aligns with organizational policies and goals.

This position is for someone that loves having fun and creating genuine, deep, and meaningful relationships!

Education and Experience:

  • Two years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience in the hospitality industry and/or the area of seniors living
  • Serving it Right
  • Class 4 driver’s license is considered an asset but not required.

Skills for Success:

  • Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Creative and innovative
  • Mentally and physically able to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position
  • Able to plan, organize and direct people and functions
  • Must be tactful, friendly, and patient
  • Must be courteous and friendly to visitors and work in a cooperative manner with fellow workers
  • Proficiency in digital tools and software is an asset, including Canva, Microsoft Office, and Publisher

Salary: $50,000-$55,000

Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant factors such as skills, experience, location, and internal equity, and is expected to fall within the posted range.
