The Developmental Disabilities Association is a community living agency that provides over 50 community-based programs to children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families. We create extended networks of support, invest in individual needs, and strive for an inclusive and safe community. Over 1,600 individuals and families in the Vancouver and Richmond area are supported every year.

In Vancouver, we are currently seeking home share providers to expand our Individual Care Network. We have individuals who seek to have their own private bedroom within a shared family home, basement suite or a shared apartment with a roommate.

Home share providers help adults with developmental disabilities learn new ways to be successful with their financial management, health and nutrition, relationship building, and community activities.

Requirements:

  • Residing in the City of Vancouver
  • Education in Social Services, Health Care or some other related field
  • Career or personal experience helping others accomplish their goals
  • First Aid/CPR certification
  • Clear criminal record
  • Driver’s license and a clear driving abstract.
  • This is a contracted position and there is a range of compensation.

If you wish to be considered, please send a resume with a cover letter that briefly describes yourself, your family and your home to the Home Share Coordinator at CCruz@develop.bc.ca (Attn: Home Share Coordinator).

Note: Applications will be sent to CCruz@develop.bc.ca
