Contract Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Respite Worker to join our CPLF team!

As a Respite provider you will work directly with a male adult with a disability who enjoys hip hop music, karaoke, and watching wrestling! Calgary Progressive Lifestyles Foundation (CPLF) Support Workers facilitate participation in recreational and social activities, supporting personal growth and community involvement, and ensuring overall well-being of people with disabilities. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals in our community. Job Details

Location: Calgary

Schedule: Friday to Sunday - four days a month, typically two weekends.

Must be okay taking him to a bowling activity on Saturday!

About Calgary Progressive Lifestyles Foundation (CPLF)

CPLF is a registered charitable organization supporting people with disabilities at work, at home, and in the community since 1989. Our mission is to support individuals engage with their community where individuals with disabilities achieve independence, fulfillment, and autonomy.

Job Requirements:

· Police Clearance with Vulnerable Sector Check (within the past two years)

· Must be empathetic and patient individual

· Experience working in the field is an asset, ideally with complex needs

· A reliable vehicle and valid driver’s class 5 license

o If hired, we require two million in third party liability vehicle insurance

· Valid First Aid (Level C) certification required within 3 months of hiring.

· If hired, we require General Commercial Liability Insurance

*Medication Administration Training, Crisis Prevention Intervention Training, Abuse Protocol Training, and Positive Behavior Support Training will be provided at cost.

*We carry out home inspections as part of our application process.
