Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide essential care and assistance to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting people with disabilities , including medication administration and will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for persons supported This role involves working closely with individuals with various disabilities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being in a nurturing environment.

Duties

  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor health conditions.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to persons supported, fostering a positive environment.
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to the dietary needs of people.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in persons living spaces.
  • Support clients with mobility challenges by assisting them in moving safely within their home
  • Document care provided and report any changes in people's conditions to appropriate personnel.
  • Engage clients in social activities and hobbies as well as community to promote mental stimulation and well-being.

Skills

  • Experience in assisted living Homes is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medication administration protocols and techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively with persons with disabilities, demonstrating patience and empathy.
  • Strong caregiving skills, including meal preparation and personal hygiene assistance.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact positively with people, families, and team members.
  • Attention to detail in maintaining clean environments for persons safety and comfort.
  • Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
